While the blue-lavender blooms of the Santa Ana River Woolly-star have since faded since we captured this amazing photo, we are thankful this endangered and protected subshrub continues to thrive inside SBD’s perimeter fenceline.
The warm days and cooler nights of springtime led to the largest concentration of blooms we’ve ever seen at SBD.
