SBD and California Baptist University Launch Partnership
— The “Official Airport of CBU Athletics” for the 2025-26 School Year —
San Bernardino International Airport (SBD) is going back to school this fall through a partnership with California Baptist University’s (CBU) athletic programs. With this collaboration, SBD is now the “Official Airport of CBU Athletics,” and students are finding how easy travel it is to travel to and from the Inland Empire.
As the official airport of CBU athletics for the 2025-26 school year, SBD will have a presence at all home athletic events, including men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, soccer, and volleyball games. CBU, a Division 1 school, hosts thousands of fans at its home games in Riverside. Spectators will be reminded that SBD is the closest airport to travel through via multi-media advertising on jumbotrons, scoreboards, and courtside imagery.
“Partnering with California Baptist University is another way to increase awareness of San Bernardino International Airport, its close proximity to CBU, and how easy it is to travel there for academics and home games,” said Director of Aviation Mark Gibbs. “The airport team is excited to be a part of CBU’s energetic home games and to connect with current and future SBD travelers we’ll meet on campus.”
Be on the lookout for SBD’s branding and say hello to the airport team during games at the Fowler Event Center, Van Dyne Gym, and other athletic venues.
