Connecting with our Community

The San Bernardino International Airport (SBD) team loves nothing better than getting away from our traditional work spaces and connecting in person with our community. During the spring and summer months, we enjoyed engaging with local students and educators, and celebrating our employees.

We shared our passion for aviation by inspiring future aviators and connecting with those interested in our unique and inspiring industry. Airport staff visited Arroyo Valley High School and Monterey Elementary School, both in San Bernardino, and participated in graduation and aviation career fair activities at San Bernardino Valley College. We also reminded our community about the Norton Air Force Base Museum located at SBD, and the fun and free opportunity it offers to kids of all ages during summer and throughout the year.

As part of National Airport Workers Day, SBD recognized our employees who contribute to keeping people and goods moving safely, securely, and efficiently. In conjunction with airports’ advocacy partner Airports Council International-North America, campaign messaging included spotlighting team members, highlighting their work to move what matters, and showing the many roles involved in the long-term success of the aviation industry.

Please contact the SBD team to discuss opportunities for meetings or speaking engagements at your school, business or civic meeting, or to participate in your community event.
