SBD Connecting with Our Community
Connecting and communicating with neighbors is a priority for the San Bernardino International Airport (SBD) team. Staff enjoyed several opportunities to engage with community members and aviation partners both on and off the airport during the first few months of 2026, including:
- Welcoming students and educators from Fontana’s A.B. Miller High School Aviation program and San Bernardino Valley College Aeronautics Department. Guests learned about aviation careers, toured SBD to see and hear from employees working in airport industry jobs, and learned how the courses and extracurricular activities they are involved in can apply to future job success and satisfaction.
- Sponsoring and speaking at the 2026 Southern California E-Commerce & Logistics Summit, hosted by the Inland Empire Economic Partnership (IEEP). Held in Pomona, the event brought together regional business and community leaders to network, share best practices, and learn about the state of the supply chain and how it is evolving. Through the event program, IEEP continued to advance its mission of supporting jobs creation, leadership development, and regional advocacy for Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
- Joining with the Federal Aviation Administration Safety Team to hold pilot outreach forums focused on safety and operating procedures for flights between SBD and Redlands Municipal Airport.
