The SBD Good Neighbor program offers analyzed data for the current quarterly report, which includes quarterly and year-over-year (YOY) trends. The report was presented publicly during the San Bernardino International Airport Authority Commission meeting on May 27, 2026.

Noise comments received from San Bernardino International Airport (SBD) neighbors in January – March 2026 (1Q26) reflect these trends:

  • Compared to January – March 2025 (1Q25), there was a YOY decrease in the number of noise comments received and the number of distinct households filing comments increased. In 1Q26, 14 less comments were received with seven additional households filing comments.
  • Of the 57 comments filed in 1Q26, 29, 14, and six were geographically concentrated in the cities of Highland, Redlands, and Victorville, respectively.
  • In comparison to October – December 2025 (4Q25), 65 less comments were filed and 17 additional households filed comments.

The top five distinct households filing comments in 1Q26 reside in Highland, Victorville, and Fontana. Together, they filed 37 (or 65%) of the total comments.

Noise comments related to SBD decreased in 1Q26, YOY, despite:

  • Continued aircraft operations at SBD, and
  • Ongoing information and communications about the Good Neighbor Program to neighbors, aligned with available resources.

The Good Neighbor Program is an important resource and outlet for airport neighbors, as well as a pilot resource for preferred flight procedures.
