Meeting community members where they are is a priority for San Bernardino International Airport (SBD) staff. Whether communicating proactively or responsively, the airport team recognizes how in-person connections benefit airport neighbors’ understanding of SBD’s operations and how they benefit the community.

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the SBD team met with City of Highland and City of Grand Terrace leaders to discuss the status of aircraft activity and business growth taking place at SBD.

The meetings were productive and allowed community members to learn about the airport’s five lines of business—commercial service, air cargo, business aviation, general aviation, and maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO)—and why more aircraft are arriving and departing SBD to support the personal and business needs of the Inland Empire region.
