October – December 2025 Report
Trend Talk: 4Q25

The SBD Good Neighbor program offers analyzed data for the current quarterly report, which includes quarterly and year-over-year trends. The report was presented publicly during the San Bernardino International Airport Authority Commission meeting on January 28, 2026.

Noise comments received from San Bernardino International Airport (SBD) neighbors in October – December 2025 (4Q25) reflect these trends:

  • Compared to October – December 2024 (4Q24), there was a year-over-year increase in both the number of noise comments received and the number of distinct households filing comments. In 4Q25, 60 additional comments were received with 21 more households filing comments.
  • Of the 122 comments filed in 4Q25, 39, 30, 16, and 15 were geographically concentrated in the cities of Grand Terrace, Redlands, Highland, and San Bernardino, respectively.
  • In comparison to July – September 2025 (3Q25), 30 fewer comments were filed and four fewer households filed comments.

The top five distinct households filing comments in 4Q25 reside in Grand Terrace, San Bernardino, Highland, and Fontana. Together, they filed 64 (or 52%) of the total comments.

Year-over-year noise comments related to SBD increased in 4Q25 and are attributed to:

  • Continued jet aircraft operations at SBD
  • Engaged and concerned community members seeking information about aircraft, and
  • Ongoing community education and engagement about aircraft operations at SBD.

The Good Neighbor Program is an important resource and outlet for airport neighbors, as well as a tool to educate pilots about neighborhood noise sensitivity.
